About Giraffe Bracing

Alain and Martin Drainville started their business in their father's garage in 1995 with one welder, making small parts for a local company, doing repairs and custom design work. Their business grew and within a few years they expanded and bought Prostamp, a small local manufacturing company with 3 employees in Sherbrooke, Quebec.

They quickly become well know for the quality of their work and creative solutions to difficult problems which brought an ever increasing number of new customers to their doors.

In 2003 their interest in ICF construction began when they watched a friend build a house with Insulating Concrete Forms (ICF). The build did not go well and some of the walls were left up to 3” out of plumb due to the bracing that was being used. They were convinced that they could come up with a better solution for bracing ICF walls and that was when Giraffe Bracing was born.
